But people also need to remember that we're a day into free agency. The Chiefs aren't done yet. Look at all the moves Veach has made that don't involve the first day of free agency.
We also still have a very deep, talented draft coming up.
It's not the end of the world. It might just be a down year. It happens. Shit happens.
And it’s entirely possible that the Chiefs go on to have another great offseason and come out on top.
People just need to fucking relax and let things play out. [Reply]

And if the worst happens and we fall back a bit, there’s still gonna be at least 3 teams that had a WAY shittier year than we did. Because they pushed their chips in and only one of thems gonna hit that inside straight… [Reply]

No more tunnel vision. Flexibility and discipline are the name of the game going forward. If the pack fuck the market up for slow guys who have to be schemed into space like Landry and JuJu - move along.
Gotta be smarter than we’ve been the last few years.
No disagreement and I think Veach is good enough to not panic and reach in this situation. But that doesn’t imply that the situation is a good one for this team’s development. [Reply]

It’s almost like you can’t lose?!
And you’re a homer because everything other teams do is bad and win-now but everything the Chiefs do is brilliant and looking toward the future. There just may be a bit of truth in between.
Literally never said “win now” moves are bad. The point is, “win now” moves only work if you “win now”, and only one team can actually “win now” at the end of the day.
Also, never said everything the Chiefs do is brilliant.
But whatever you need to believe to support your narrative! [Reply]

Nobody is saying that the division and the conference hasn’t gotten much tougher.
Nobody is saying that the Chiefs don’t have their work cut out for them.
Nobody is saying this might not be a down year.
Giving perspective that almost all of these moves are “win now” moves that puts the Chiefs in a position to be better off in the future isn’t being a homer.
It’s not my fault that morons like you miss my point entirely when it comes to shit like this.
Ahh a voice of reason in this shitstorm of a thread. [Reply]

No there is not. There is plenty of time left. Wait a while and if he hasn't done anything in a week then you can start freaking out. I'm not losing sleep over the moves these other teams have made. [Reply]

My worry as that to this point in his career Veach has not demonstrated that. He HAS just hit bid until he won.
But hey, ain’t gonna say he doesn’t have a breaking ball until he proves it.
