Furphy can actually shoot it opens up the offense a little bit more. With KJ, Harris and Jackson out there at the same time the defense doesn't have to worry about the three so they can pack it down. I would love to see Harris minutes go down a bit and let Jackson run the point more. [Reply]
Went to my first KU game in 25 years last night. Pretty fun and nice to see a blow out. Probably 1/3rd KU fans in the stands.
One disappointing thing about the arena. Nobody was checked for weapons walking into the arena. Definitely a recipe for disaster and surprised they don’t have at least some metal detectors. [Reply]

Before the UCF game, I heard that Furphy had been standing out in practice and was going to get more minutes going forward. Not sure why he didn't play more in the 2nd half vs UCF, especially when they went to the zone.
Don't forget that Elmarko had a really good game vs Wichita St, so that's probably one reason it didn't happen earlier. [Reply]

He looked very comfortable in the role early.
I think playing off ball has been an issue, especially when he isn’t a great 3 point shooter. Might be with time, but he’s pretty bad right now.
Self loves having two point guards at the 1/2, but it really works best when that 2 can light it up from deep. Mario or Graham immediately come to mind. [Reply]

Don't we have a real good point guard committed for 2024-2025? I thought Jackson was supposed to be a scorer not running the offense or was he supposed to be both? Thats why he got "lottery pick" hype? [Reply]

What amazes me is the graphic they showed at halftime. They had a 68% FG in the first half but that was only their 3rd best FG% half of the season. :-) [Reply]

I don't know about any of that but from what I've seen, he is much more comfortable as the PG. He definitely looks like a natural PG to me. [Reply]

I thought I heard that too but he definitely just looks more like a ball in hands PG to me [Reply]
