In order to prevent us wasting precious years of Patrick Mahomes' career, Veach needs to work some magic this offseason. What's your advice for him? [Reply]

There’s a reason that KPass started at SDE for 2 years despite not being even an average pass rusher.
We obviously need more pass rush out of that spot, but to say you don’t give two shits about run defense at SDE is incredibly stupid.
You're the one who says he'd like to beat me up and that out of everyone on CP, me and Virus would be the ones you'd least want to have a playdate with :-). So yeah I don't think I'm the one who gets their feeling hurt over posts.
And ok, I give 1 shit about run defense. Maybe even 1.2. Happy? [Reply]

:-) you always bring up Hardman. You must really have a man crush on him. He's a good gadget guy. He'll make a decent career running jet sweeps. [Reply]

It's time to replace him with a younger, quicker player because he'll always be a liability.
I’m not disagreeing with that very much, but at around 2m, he provides a vet presence to the young guys we are sure to bring in to help learn the system and is an average player in case someone gets hurt.
I see a lot of value in that.
I also think Beach wants a 3down linebacker he can pair with WGJ that will allow Spags to transition from as many 3 safety looks, so maybe you’re right. [Reply]

How? I think pass rush improvement should be the main focus and for that reason getting a run defending LDE who has a total of 3 sacks in 2 years and is injury prone wouldn't improve our defense. Okafor has 5 more sacks than him the last 2 years FFS. I can't believe anyone would want him.
It's crazy how he's about to trick his 3rd franchise in as many years into thinking he's going to come in and make any type of difference. [Reply]
In the Chiefs 2 losses last year they gave up 144 and 145 rushing yards. In the Chargers game that we massively struggled to score, they gave up 183 rushing yards.
We need linemen that can stop the run and another LB or safety to quickly erase running lanes.
We can’t just draft a DL like Dee Ford anymore. Those type of guys should be later round projects that are on the field on 3rd and long only. [Reply]

I...agree. I said he can't be Dee Ford terrible. Also in that superbowl loss, we literally had no pass after the 2nd drive. Pass rush as as big of a issue as run defense that game. [Reply]

When did I say that I’d like to beat you up? I don’t recall that. [Reply]

When you're constantly in 2nd and 3 as a defense, you aren't rushing the passer very well.
The Chiefs don't need to overly focus on stopping the run to much, but they can't get gashed like that. [Reply]
