Can't get it up here north of the border but, through a wine distributer I am able to order a case. Would like to hear from someone who knows their stuff and has tried it before I order.

West Bottoms has some promise but needs more time IMO, not unlike Reiger. Right now it’s offensively un-mellow for something so low proof. [Reply]

Thanks...I've tried Rieger's and your reaction is the same as mine. [Reply]
I tried to buy some Four Roses at Hy Vee yesterday, but they had a sale on 750ml bottle and was sold out. Think it was around $12 a bottle. So I bought Jim Beam instead. I'll drink Evan Williams too. Only time I get the good stuff is if its a gift. [Reply]

For the money, it's Evan's all day long over Jim Beam for me. I really think Jim Beam is one of the most over rated whiskeys out there. I do like the Beam Black, but not so much that I feel the need to run out and get it.
Evan Williams for the affordable bourbon hands down. [Reply]
Have you tried the Stedman's that SRVY posted earlier?

I will be traveling through Kentucky later this month. On the waiting list for the Buffalo Trace tour. I am hoping to score some of the locally hard to find bottles i.e. Blantons
Any recommendations for Bourbons that are only available in Kentucky? [Reply]
I got turned on to that at Harry's Tables in Westport about 20 years ago. Pretty good poop. Between it and Springbank i could do without anything else. Maybe a nice 2o YO Lagavulin

You will enjoy that tour. Plenty of small distilleries you can visit on the Bourbon Tour. I actually enjoyed Makers Mark tour the best. [Reply]

I've had a couple bottles of Reiger's. I like it, but it's usually around $35 a bottle and isn't that much different than Evan Williams for $12 a bottle. [Reply]
