For a team like the Raiders though he is a waste because he’s not going to elevate Carr’s ceiling.
FFS, Hunter fucking Renfrow was a 1000 yard WR with Carr. Pretty sure Adams will be fine. [Reply]
I’ll look at it this way - if Adams were a free agent I wouldn’t want to give him $28 million/season entering his age 30 year. And the Raiders evidently paid handsomely for the privilege of doing so.
That said - still not happy we have to play him twice. [Reply]

Would anybody really give up draft picks and 28 per for a 30 year old WR?
I love what a homer you are. Every other team in the division has dramatically improved yet somehow you find ways to minimize all these acquisitions. We acquire Reid who wasn’t even very good last year but you are pumped to the moon.
I’ll never forget how you called Jarran Reed the most underrated signing in the entire NFL last offseason. And then fought with me over it.
If you want false confidence, follow staylor!
Even if Veach works magic this offseason, more likely than not we just went from going 5-1 in the division to something more like 3.5-2.5. Combine that with a first place schedule and a second-in-the-AFC matchup against the Bucs, and our fortunes have dimmed. [Reply]

Pointing out that everybody is shitting their pants and losing their shit over our competition paying top dollar and draft picks for mostly older players (almost all 30+) that could decline at any minute is not being a homer.
Nobody is saying that the division and the conference hasn’t gotten much tougher.
Nobody is saying that the Chiefs don’t have their work cut out for them.
Nobody is saying this might not be a down year.
Giving perspective that almost all of these moves are “win now” moves that puts the Chiefs in a position to be better off in the future isn’t being a homer.
It’s not my fault that morons like you miss my point entirely when it comes to shit like this. [Reply]
Broncos: Russell Wilson, DJ Jones, Randy Gregory Chargers: JC Jackson, Khalil Mack Chiefs: Well, they still got Patrick Mahomes Raiders: Davante Adams, Chandler Jones
