UPDATE 3: Courtesy of King - High Ankle Sprain Confirmed
MRI today confirmed that Chiefs’ QB Patrick Mahomes suffered a high ankle sprain during Saturday’s win over the Jaguars, per league source. “Nothing more than that,” said one source, and Mahomes has said he plans to play in next Sunday’s AFC Championship Game.
Supposedly the day after is always supposed to be brutal for these things. If Pat woke up and was really way better than expected, that's an amazing sign.

Yep, I imagine he'll still be in pain on Sunday, but hopefully with some juice and a few rolls of tape, he'll be able to do what he does [Reply]

I heard that, something tells me Tony has burned his foot on a George Foreman grill at some point in his life and demanded his doctor give him an inflatable cast. [Reply]

Guessing it largely depends on what they've pumped him up with in the past 24 hours in terms of steroids and what not. [Reply]

Romo is a dick but that withstanding, Mahomes has to have a high ankle sprain. CEH has been out for 2 months. Lots of NFL players miss weeks with this injury.
Remember the pic that went viral when Mahomes did one of his flips into the end zone. His ankle looked like it was broke off under that huge DL. But, he got and played normal.
Mahomes trainer tweeted out that they do exercises to strengthen that area, so he can just walk away.
Hopefully the trainer has been working in strengthening those high ankle sprain ligaments. He’s not going to be 100% but get Mahomes close and he’ll bring that Lamar Trophy home. [Reply]
The #49ers DC cancelled 2 of 4 HC interviews to focus on today's game vs. the #Cowboys and Patrick Mahomes insists he will play next week in the AFC Championship game after spraining his ankle in yesterday's game. @JayGlazer has the latest for us ⬇️ pic.twitter.com/mNYJuy706j
