Chiefs prez Mark Donovan, when asked this AM about potential new stadium options, said the team has considered options in state of Kansas. They like Arrowhead and legacy of Lamar Hunt’s stadium, but have been pitched by Kansas developers on a bunch of options. Something to watch.
If the stadium moves, it needs to be easy in and easy out. The Legends area would be the place to put it with a lot of cheaper land and the infastructure already there. [Reply]

This was nothing more than due diligence, to begin with anyway. There is 0 chance that any top-tier professional team wants to be in Kansas. Missouri even realizes this is all just posturing with no substance.
It isn't even posturing, it's just a guy answering a question.
I saw an article that used the quote to say the Chiefs were "threatening to leave" in very Chiefs Editorial Board fashion... and people eat it up. [Reply]
Anybody that thinks an NFL Stadium in Kansas City is going to be the hub of a year-round office park and entertainment area in the years 2032 and beyond ought to buy this pitch:

Right and not for the better. Kansas does not have near the revenue as Missouri. It does not have nearly as much respect throughout the country. [Reply]
Like it or not, but Johnson County is a much, much better place than almost anywhere in the Missouri part of the metro. It is only even comparable to Lee's Summit. The Legends is in the Dotte but not the crappy part and is just north of very affluent places. Nobody wants to see tons of shitholes no matter what way you drive into the sports complex. [Reply]
