2023 – A new beginning for the Royals. Matt Quatraro era begins. A year to see which of our young players will make up the core going forward. Can Bobby Witt Jr become a superstar SS or will go to the hot corner? Will Brady Singer take the next step forward? Will Salvy be Salvy? Will Big Vin or Pratto take first base? Will they find a position for MJ? Who else emerges from the youth movement? Not to mention the development of the new downtown stadium.

If you don't receive revenue sharing, then you just can't have consecutive top 6 picks.
Also, according to MLB.com teams that receive revenue-sharing payouts can't receive a lottery pick for more than two years in a row and those that don't can't get a top 6 choice in consecutive drafts.
A lottery pick is a top 6 pick. The Royals haven't received a lottery pick, because they have pick 8 this year, so they can still get a top 6 pick next year (2024) and the year after (2025). They were in the lottery, but every team that isn't in the playoffs is in the lottery. That doesn't mean they received a lottery pick. [Reply]
Sherman seems more like a snake as time goes on. Motherfucker has wanted to move down town and has been talking about it for over a year now, but literally doesn't want to give any type of details. I don't think he was expecting this team to be atrocious and now he's worried about what kind of response he's going to get from tax payers. [Reply]

We'll see. Glass was terrible early on but he learned as he went along. He still had things that could have been better, especially when trading away guys and not eating some of their salary, but when they actually had a legit shot he'd approve trades for veterans and spend a little money. He let Dayton improve the baseball operations and he let him spend over slot in the draft to game the system. Of course spending money meant ending up with guys like Ian Kennedy sometimes, but they made a fair effort for a small market team. We have no idea what Sherman's going to do. The returns so far have been bad all the way around. And now we have no idea about all this stadium stuff on top of it. You always have to be careful what you wish for. [Reply]

When the team is this pathetic there are no sacred cows. But we all know that [Reply]
