A lot of what happened last year wasn't all VJ's fault. The QB's and the OL fell off a cliff after the bye and the offense just wouldn't stop turning the ball over. VJ tried switching QB's and giving guys like Stephenson and Billy Turner a shot at RT, but nothing worked. Then the ST's fell apart... Maybe VJ stuck with McKenzie too long, but McKenzie was drafted specifically to be our returner so he gave him a long leash hoping he'd dig himself out of the slump he was in.

VJ was a defensive coach, and he let his OC handle the offense and the STC handle the ST's. VJ's side of the ball did more than enough to win games.
382 points given up. Really, dude?

Shit, it's almost like you're forgetting about secret weapon, last pick in the draft CHAZ BRAY. He might set the world on fire!!

I absolutely love it that some Dungver tards are pimping Swag. That's just so darn cute.

You're insane. The defense was the only competent part of the team last year. Yet, they gave up 24 points per game, good for 22nd best in the league. The defense is on the decline and traded away Talib. The ST was a joke, as was the offense. I don't see any improvement on ST, so I'm guessing that you think that Keesum is going to be good for another 5 wins over last year to get the Donks in the playoffs?? You're in for a rude awakening. Take a look at Keesum's body of work prior to last season and tell me that you honestly think that last year was the real Keenum, then you're totally clueless. You will see the real Keesum next season, and you won't be happy.

Denver had a much better defense than they do now and Keesum-like quarterback play in 2016.

They finished 9-7.

That's their ceiling

Yep, as long as Elway is picking up the talent Broncos fans are just going to have to be happy with anything better than .500.

They got their SB, and now you're seeing what they really are and are going to be.

Their biggest loss was Wade Phillips. He takes every defense up 2 notches. He gone.

Keenum's ceiling is what we just saw last season. He had everything an average QB needs to be successful. The Vikings staff knew it and let him go...he's not going to be better in Denver.

He was one "once in a lifetime" walk-off TD from being punted from the divisional round at home. He was terrible in the Philly game. That is your "best case" scenario. You have to remember that Rodgers was hurt almost all of last season.

7-9 to 9-7 potential.

Donkos absolutely need to take a QB at #5. Their next 5 years depend on it. Chubbs/Barkley would be a nice pick if they already had a QB. They will be looking for a QB, this time next season, if they dont.

Literally nobody has answered this question: Why is Denver dropping $18 million per on a shitty QB? Couldn't they tank just as easily without him? It makes no sense.

That's easy. The Donks homers like Knowshit and Kramzitinhisrectum are gullible enough to believe that the team is a quarterback away from being a contender. They aren't smart enough to realize that Keesum will not be able to duplicate last seasons performance in pile high this season. This moved has duped the fan base. It'll put butts in the seats. Then, when the Donks have they're annual fast start due to the pile high advantage, fans will be convinced that Keesum is the second coming of Peyton Manningstein. The games will all be sold out before the collapse comes. But come it will. 3-1 start, followed by a 3-9 or 4-8 finish. There will by crying and gnashing of teeth in Dungvers once again.

And yet, he still couldn't get a sack against a 3rd string offensive line. :-)

Limited options. Elwart probably blew a gasket when Cousins was no longer available. And he can't draft 1st round QB and throw him out on the field as the expected starter; his history with QB selection is horrid and EVERYONE in the fan base and organization knows it.
He'll probably take a QB in the 1st, but he better strike gold and get that kid trained and ready for 2019; his mulligans are used up.
Keenum isn't exactly all horror though; he did a fairly decent job of chewing up KC's defense the last time they met, and that was when the defense was still GOOD.
Still, I wouldn't sign the guy as a stop gap much less pay him that kind of coin.

Denver could get dominated 127-3, wrack up 1500 fewer yards than their opponent and Knowmo would say, "we beat ourselves"
