Guys like James Harden and Blake Griffin were damn near an afterthought.
I remember watching James Harden at Arizona State and thinking he was an out-of-shape lazy (albeit talented) player who would never amount to anything great in the NBA.
I suppose he is still out-of-shape and lazy but it appears I undersold his talent. [Reply]

Rush wasn't even supposed to be on that 08 team, only came back because of the torn ACL in NBA workouts.
Pretty sure that was also the year Rod Stewart went down at the F4 practice, which actually tightened up the rotation and kept the stars in games longer. [Reply]

Don’t forget Sherron’s broken foot!
Self said that they almost didn’t catch the issue, and he could’ve made the injury worse which would’ve made him miss the entire year. [Reply]

I always wonder what he could’ve been if he really dedicated himself to his diet and conditioning.
Maybe he does, but it sure doesn’t look like it. Early in his career, he was ridiculously athletic for a pudgy guy.
Seems like there was a really explosive athlete hidden under that fat. He’s as skilled as anyone out there though. [Reply]
