Spoiler!
I liked the film as a psychological thriller but then it devolved into a monster slasher during the third act. The 'reveal' was also weak. I thought it would be better as a stand alone movie.
It's worth a watch though.
His performance was the only thing I liked about it. It started off great but really fizzled for me.
I've always enjoyed Mike Birbiglia's standup. His movies seem to mirror his standup -- funny (but not the funniest), but excellent storytelling. [Reply]
Just lost 2:15 hours of my life...USS Indianapolis has got to be one of the worst war movies I've ever paid a $1.50 for...
It's like Sharknado and Pearl Harbor...ugh...I'm kinda mad at myself for watching the whole thing (actually I should blame my wife). Do yourself a favor and pass on this one..it's an utter abortion. [Reply]

I was really looking forward to this one. the previews were hilarious.
I gave up on it about 20 minutes in. I thought it was just...not good...not funny.
maybe some drunken evening I'll give it another try.
the potato getting skinned though...just too damn funny.
the concepts were what were making me laugh so hard.
the non-perishables were basically Gods or some sort of holy men.
and the douche, being.....well, a douche. Those were the highlights for me.
Stephen hawking type character as Gum lol.
Finally caught the Revenant. It was good. Very well shot and acted but some of the stuff I missed. Not sure I was paying close enough attention. [Reply]
