Wow! He got $14 million guaranteed. That's a lot more than anything Veach would have offered. The one year Juju contract would have been our best offer for the almost 33 year old WO. Like you said, if Justyn Ross shows anything close to his elite level of play in college then he'd be stealing snaps from him.
The WR market has been a late development but that's a really good deal for him. [Reply]

Can't always get what you want. I wanted him to be able to run a more expanded route tree. That didn't happen. He's a straight line runner and a really good gadget guy. If guys like him made $20 million he wouldn't be complaining. He is who he is.
On the other hand, Skyy isn't as fast or explosive but he can play the gadget role and has way more upside in developing his chemistry with Patrick and route tree. It just didn't happen with Mecole and that's fine. Moving on. [Reply]
So this just occurred to me: in the event that Pat can't play for a series, or a half, or even a couple games, Buechele would probably come in, right? Well, there's probably no better WR at holding unpolished/young QBs' hands than DHop. He's literally played his entire career doing exactly that.
Would cost min ~$26.5m this year, if we we were messing around with bringing in Taylor and Tunsil... maybe? I think we've got ~$14m, we could restructure CJ and move MVS in the Hopkins deal to save another $7m.
Kelce
Hopkins
OBJ
Toney
Mckinnon
Pretty insane top 5 targets.
OBJ looks ready to play JuJu's routes, and maybe stay healthy with that extra muscle. [Reply]
