You are correct!

I had no idea until the Royals won the World Series they talked about him being a college basketball player there.

I looked it up because I was curious if that was the same team I saw live. Sure enough.

My first game in the Phog was as a student 96/97 season. We annihilated Okie Lite on a Wednesday night. Sat about 4 rows up in the student section back when the bleaches came all the way to court level. Got in on a crowd shot during a commercial break. Guys in Oliver said I was right in the middle of it.

Edit to say I believe that was the game Spike Lee showed up to watch a game.

I remembered that too and figured that was about when he would have been in college.

Honestly him and Michelle Obama are the only Princeton grads I could name.

My first game at the Phog was when Big Country Bryant Reeves scored zero points.

Weekend conf games are always a tough ticket. Place didn’t have any empties I could see. Reunion weekend was cool at half, Roy made it

My first game was early 80s as a youngin. The upper 1/4 was empty under Ted’s final years so we’d run around up there alone. The windows would be open and dudes would be smoking up near them during play

Shit you not

I do think Self teams have less chance of getting upset by crap teams because they play such better defense than Roy's teams did.

But 97 was stacked and losing to Arizona is still my #1 biggest heartbreak. That Arizona team can kiss my ass and I'll cheer the day Bibby dies of syphilis. Hopefully.

Also they shot 27 free throws to our 13.
