Nzoner's Game Room>Mahomes is 15 TDs away from passing Aikman
petegz28 07:47 AM 07-02-2022

Crazy Stat: Patrick Mahomes could throw 15 touchdowns the rest of his career and still finish with more career touchdown passes than Hall of Fame quarterback Troy Aikman.

Note: Mahomes has played in 102 less games. pic.twitter.com/YzE4B34Xh2

One of the best in history, even though you admitted yesterday that he was the second weakest link on the offense? Not a chance. In any given season, you could make the argument that he wasn't even the best QB in his own division.

beat the '93 giants all by himself, gaining 229 yards from scrimmage with a separated shoulder

I agree with the kid that has Aikman boner problems... the 70s and 80s were not pass friendly like you have had for the last 30 years.

Marino, Tarkenton, Fouts, Moon... there are a handful of QBs that had prolific seasons comparable to now. The game was simply different.

Yeah, so you discount his first couple of years as they built up that stellar team and then the final years when it was dismantled thanks to the FA boom and Jerry's ego.

Convenient.

Spoiler!
I didn't say he sucked, I said he was overrated and that he wasn't in the same league as Walter Payton and Barry Sanders. Jim Brown as well. The highlights you posted do nothing to refute that.

Like Aikman, Smith benefitted greatly from having the best OL ever assembled. Thus, overrated.

I would rank Barry over Smith... Jim Brown and Payton, I'll let someone else make that call because I did not see them play enough.

All that being said, Smith was a great RB.

Sanders is the best ever, and it's not close. Especially when you consider the shit teams he played for. 6 playoff games total.

Pat Summerall was a Cowboys homer and drunk af.
