Doubt it.
But totally looking forward to her being the hero, and not, you know, Obi Wan. [Reply]

It’s pretty obvious that they’re trying to make her a badass.
Eh, she's pretty powerful, but not as powerful as the other inquisitors. The second brother or who it was pinned her down on the table.
So she cheap shotted the Grand Inquisitor. She's also pretty mentally weak, she lets the needling get to her and can't help herself by doing dumb shit and overreaching.
So she's way more powerful than Obi-Wan because he hasn't been training and is super weak. But she got punked by the other brother and they're going out of their way to show her being damaged and out of control.
Vader is a bad ass because he's powerful, controlled, and motivated. She is pretty powerful, motivated, and out of control.
There is a fair amount of nuance there. Her acting isn't great, but I thought she did a nice job of brooding while she was getting punked and needled by everybody else.
I guess I'm just not as mad about it as you. [Reply]

Probably the best, most evil depiction of Vader shown on screen yet. Holy fucking shit that was brutal.
It was good, they're doing a good job with him.

I think the Rogue One hallway scene was better. Less evil, more efficient, more savage.
But yeah, just smoking the townspeople because it's so easy, like us chewing gum or something. Doesn't materially affect us, so why not chew gum? Doesn't materially affect him, so why not murder some townsfolk.
Obi Wan still hadn't quite grasped just what Vader had become. He still thought of him as the same as when he was Anakin, albeit evil. When he actually does see him face to face he's scared to death and can't do anything except try and run before Vader attempts to torture him to death
I’m only one episode in but it was mainly the acting/overacting I didn’t like in the third sister. The scene where she threw the knife was cool and showed her desire to cut to the point, but when she tries to talk about getting to the point it was not good. But that can also just be bad dialogue writing. [Reply]
3rd episode was great. Rage Vader is pretty terrifying.
Spoiler!
Literal Holy Shit moment when he nonchalantly snapped some rando kid's neck, just to try and get Obi-Wan to show himself. Damn. He mad.
Focusing more on Obi-Wan's weakness too. He's going to have to find some new energy or something, because he's way overmatched and it's already halfway through the series.
Leia continues to say shit that no little girl her age would ever say.

Yeah, he rampaged through town just murdering fools. I still think the Rogue One experience was more savage. I'm open to it being the first experience since ROTJ and the first time he was really getting after it, not just refusing to suffer fools.
I have to say between R1 and this they are really doing a good job with Vader
I didn't really dig the Rebels version.

This was worse. During the end of Rogue One, Vader was on a mission to retrieve something. Sure, he was mowing through people left and right, but they were soldiers who were shooting at him.
This time around he was casually killing innocent civilians who posed no threat. Sure, it had a purpose, and I assume he wouldn't bother doing it under normal conditions, but still.
Great episode, though. Obi-Wan definitely needs to hit the gym. :-) [Reply]
