Rules:
1. No spoiled picks in this thread, all weekend. This means that as tweets are leaking picks a few minutes before the selection is announced live, you don't post it in this thread (ex: embedded tweets), reference it in this thread (ex: Joe Slapdick says it's McCaffrey to Tampa) or hint at it (ex: "it's a RB!").
Don't be a dick.
Otherwise, have fun, talk shit, freak out and lose your goddamned minds. It's Draft Weekend. The hot takes in these threads are so funny.
I'll also be starting threads for each of our picks as they are made, with videos and notable stats/takes in the OP. Pure knee jerk gold to reference in the future. [Reply]
Chiefs traded up with the Vikings to select Michigan WR Jehu Chesson with the No. 139 overall pick in the 2017 NFL draft.
Chesson (6’2/204) made 25 starts for the Wolverines, collecting a 114-1,639-12 (14.4 YPR) career receiving line and returning a kickoff 96 yards for a touchdown as a junior. He earned first-team All-Big Ten from the conference’s coaches in 2015, but slipped to honorable mention last year. Chesson did help himself in Indy, running 4.47 and showing explosion in the broad jump (11’). Turning 24 later this year, Chesson is old-ish for a rookie and was a body catcher on tape, also struggling to make much happen after the catch. Chesson profiles as a short-area possession receiver who may best fit in the slot. [Reply]

Couldn't agree more. So many CB'S, We needed a ILB also and some more beef in the middle of our line. We gotta be better at stopping the run, so far this draft hasn't helped that at all.
On the bright side, the 3 positions we drafted were on the need list. QBOFT, DL (Pass rusher) depth & RB. And now a WR! Must be a future pick for Mahomes because we have enough weapons now that Alex can't find! [Reply]

Is this a troll? I admit I know nothing about this player, but I haven't read a single scouting report that lists his route running or run after catch ability as pluses. Most of them say these are things he struggles with. [Reply]

Okay, I'll say it.
Albert Wilson is annoying. He gets shit thrown his way constantly that can go for big plays, but he doesn't dive.
He gets open, though. He runs within the offense. He will get you out of trouble if everything's going right for him. That's a base-level thing he does for us.
Chesson could do so much more than that, but from learning about him, it's tough to think he'll achieve that base level requirement to be effective for us.
And we traded UP to get him, too.
One 5th and one 6th round pick left for Dorsey. Thanks for the QB, Dorsey, but you're gonna have to do a fuckton better than this. [Reply]
Some draft reports call this guy possession receiver who is limited, while others are saying that he is a 50-50 ball winner with speed and great YAC potential.
