So there's an article on NFL network saying that Orlando Brown is expected to sign for 6 years $145 mil.
That comes to $24.16 mil/yr and makes him the highest paid offensive lineman in football. It also would give him the 19th highest salary per year in the NFL
How would you feel if that is the contract he ended up signing?
I'm fine with it. He is a top 5 LT and he's only 26 next season. A young great LT is a guy you can't let leave. [Reply]

Unless we cut him in the next 2 years, that's a good deal. Looks like he's trying to make sure he gets as much money as possible not because of the injury risk but because he thinks he might suck and get cut.
.
Unless he thought he might get suck and get cut there was no other reason he shouldn't have taken that deal. And it seems like there is a chance he thought he might suck/not be good enough. [Reply]
I watched a Youtube video of every Chiefs passing attempt. The line didn't play well, including Brown, but imo he was not as bad as it seemed live. WRs simply were not getting open. Despite the win, there are reasons for concern. For the most part, the Chargers had their way with our offense. [Reply]

Chargers have two elite corners and the top safety. Add in a great pass rush and it's tough to throw on them. [Reply]

I’m planning on doing that later. Did it after AZ and found Brown had a better game than I expected live.
Watching live, the Chargers did some stuff that caught KC by surprise with blitzes, for sure. [Reply]
Moving on or off this guy is purely circumstantial to the price and what’s available and at what price fa/draft/trade/what they could get for him etc. [Reply]

Veach would have made it work
Of course you would've had shots at them, but it doesn't mean you're thinking about building out your line in the same way. Maybe you address guard in the 2nd round instead of center, etc. [Reply]
