Have been banned from the other thread by an apparently sensitive snowflake (ironically after dozens of pages of political discussion from others) so I'll stick my thoughts on the NBA Playoffs here from now on. We needed a new thread anyway. [Reply]
I would add that this year (depending on Giannis's injury) we may see a team win the championship without an elite Top 5 player on their team. Looking back maybe the 2011 Mavs win would be the last time that happened but Dirk was close enough.
In the NFL with 52 players on the roster you can win a championship without the elite QB. Just 3 years ago we saw Foles win and a couple of years before that Flacco won. [Reply]
These blowouts in the playoffs are getting pretty boring. Seems like even in a close series that goes 6 or 7 games, most of the games aren't very close. Game 1 has been the only good game of the Bucks/Hawks series so far. Game 3 was good until halfway through the 4th quarter when the Bucks pulled away easily. [Reply]

Conley was an All-Star. Their second most important offensive player. Without him, the offense didn't run as smooth.
Donovan Mitchell was hurt as well but played through it. It hurt his defense more than his offense. Offensively, Mitchell still scored at a high pace. Just couldn't keep anyone in front of him defensively. [Reply]

Jamaal Crawford, I mean Donovan Mitchell will never win an NBA title. Volume shooting extrodonaire. [Reply]

Every star guard is a volume shooter. Mitchell is no different. He's improved every year in the league offensively. Not sure why you think he's no better than Jamal Crawford. He's a lot better than Crawford was.
He probably won't win on his own as a superstar in Utah. However, what's stopping him from joining with other superstars in LA, Miami, NY? [Reply]
Another boring blowout. Shocking. This is how the Finals is gonna be too. It'll probably be the Suns in 6 or 7 and every game will be a 15-25 point blowout. [Reply]
