Figured we could get one of these going as well.

Who's some guys we like, would like to see in KC?

WAS. Almost the only other place I can think of that would fit from Day 1.

he just had surgery not long ago, so he gets healthy, passes a physical, maybe does a workout . . . can't see someone not offering him something. Dude can fly.

yeah, but by the time he's ready, who's going to have much money left to spend? He won't want to sign a multi-year deal on the cheap; so a one year deal is his best bet. You wanna do a one year deal playing with gods-know-who at QB in Washington, or you want to showcase your skills in Andy Reid's Mahomes offense?

I mean, if the goal is to try to get a bag of money next year?

And Rivera wants to RUN THE BALL, and they already have a couple of nice WR's.

I just think that if I was Mecole, I'd just come back to KC and try to put a good full season of tape down and try again.

All makes sense to me. And if I were Hardman, I'd probably rather play for a sure winner/playoff team, than go to WAS and probably not make the playoffs, certainly not be a contender for at least a couple years.

But you heard the plan; Toney will be WR1, MVS WR2, Skyy next . . . where does Hardman fit in? And would you want to be WR4 yet again if you were him?

Almost a slap in the face, if you think about it from the POV of a 26-year-old kid.

Maybe. But you know they'd manufacture touches for him. And if he were to outperform say, Skyy Moore, then i think they'd play him. But you might be right.

Washington has better receivers than we do - by a fair bit - and don't they still have Curtis Samuel? Who does Hardmans job already.

Coming back to KC is the right decision for him. It's that or sell low coming off a lousy platform year.

Nobody is going to pay him what he could've earned off a healthy year so he's going to want a 1yr deal. And he won't have more success elsewhere than he would here next year.

Just sign the damn deal, Mecole.

Hardman fits in ahead of Skyy and probably ahead of MVS when he's healthy.

It's a MUCH softer depth chart than McLaurin, Dotson, Samuel.

We're all so focused on EDGE in the 1st that it makes me think we'll probably go WR.

You act like it’s set in stone. Andy comes in and puts them in order and PMII slings it accordingly. Nah wr1 doesn’t matter, it’s all about who gets open and finds continuity.

I get a little stabby when people start talking about WR1, 2, etc.

it's not real. Its fantasy football talk, and it has nothing to do with actual football.

But I guess that makes me arrogant, or so it's been said.

I've got to think so. Unless Andy's just tired of him or something, but I haven't gotten that impression.

Easy guys. I was just answering the question, which was something like 'where else could he go?'

I'm not saying he should or anything. But WAS would be the easiest transition, because there wouldn't be any transition. He already knows the language, the plays, etc. And the OC.

And I was just speculating that he might be a little butthurt about getting "passed over." I don't know that he feels that way, but he's 26, and young guys can be a little sensitive. In WAS he might not be the man, but those other WRs didn't jump the line on him, if he feels that way.

And I didn't set the order; that was in a post from someone with KC that stated something about how Toney was going to be WR1, and Skyy was going to be taking a starting role as well, or something like that.

I’ve said since before the season ended Mecole would be back on a 1 year deal. It’s really the only scenario that makes any sense for him.

He was somewhat slow to pick up the offense, wasn’t a good route runner (till last year where he showed visible improvement in this area before he got hurt) and makes a living having top 10 NFL speed. Jet sweeps, WR screens, go routes, stop n go. Concepts that force defenses to overcompensate in one area before attacking you in another and exploit any area of the defense lacking in speed.

Here’s the elephant in the room…

He may not even be an NFL player if he doesn’t regain his world class speed.

Kelce is WR #1. He is more than a TE.

No you don’t get a little stabby because ‘it’s not real’. Of course wr1’s are real. They clearly exist on nfl rosters.

It’s because it’s gets in the way of the facts that we don’t have a reliable 80 catch a season guy since JuJu left, and for some reason you refuse to acknowledge this as a problem, when it really is.

I wasn't in awe of JuJu last year when we signed him but it was clear and obvious he was going to receive the most targets as a WR with MVS being the speed/decoy guy.

There is no one right now in the WR room that is the obvious choice after Kelce.
