Pro Football Network reports it's a(nother) one-year deal. The 52-year-old's contract was up after 2021, and there had been rampant speculation and innuendo about his standing with the locker room. None of it was even close to confirmed by a reputable source, of course. After several years as one of the coaching cycle's hottest head coach candidates, Bieniemy didn't seriously appear to be in the running for any of this winter's openings. Coach Andy Reid said in late 2021 that Bieniemy was calling plays, though there still seems to be some hair splitting going on there. Whatever the workload mix is between Reid and Bieniemy, it has been working splendidly for years now.

As far as I know, the only time he's ever done anything BUT is when Andy Reid tells him what play to relay into Mahomes... [Reply]

EB called plays last season. Not every play. But a large portion of plays. [Reply]

Wanna wager whether or not Patrick goes directly to EB during a game and consults with EB? [Reply]

Is that why it's a bunch of stupid spread bullshit, all verticals and go routes with that RPO bullshit sprinkled in instead of attacking every level of the field, the way a more traditional WCO (like what Andy has roots in) would do?
