2023 – A new beginning for the Royals. Matt Quatraro era begins. A year to see which of our young players will make up the core going forward. Can Bobby Witt Jr become a superstar SS or will go to the hot corner? Will Brady Singer take the next step forward? Will Salvy be Salvy? Will Big Vin or Pratto take first base? Will they find a position for MJ? Who else emerges from the youth movement? Not to mention the development of the new downtown stadium.

Get Barlow out of here before his arm falls off and he isn't worth anything anymore. Matheny really fucked up some promising bull pen arms by his over utilization of these guys. Barlow had 140 appearances the previous 2 years and it seems like it has caught up to him. Dylan Coleman had 68 appearances last season and was really good, but it seems like over utilization fucked his arm too cuz he sucks. Jake Brentz went from 72 appearances in 2018 and 2019 combined to 72 appearances in 2021. He had a 3.66 ERA that year, but since then he's pitched in 10 games in 2022 between the majors (23.64 ERA, 8 games) and minors (27 ERA, 2 games) and hasn't pitched in 2023. Before Josh Staumont ran into the Ruiner of Arms he had pitched in a max of 41 games in 2018, then in his first full season 2021 with the Ruiner he was thrown into 64 games. From 2019-2021 he had a 2.83 ERA. Well since that season he's been hurt a lot. His ERA last season was 6.45 in 42 appearances and so far this year he has a 4.5 ERA in 19 appearances.
Mike Matheny was the worst possible thing that could have happened to this team and I feel bad for the guys he ruined. Fucking worthless fuck. [Reply]
