I guarantee you they weren't drawing up a play there for Caleb Love to take a contested three to win the game. :-)

Watching 2023-2024 KU has become sort of akin to watching a NBA game right now where the teams just coast for the first 3/4 of it and raise their intensity at the end. They show up when it matters and that's been enough in pretty much every game so far. We'll see if it is against tougher competition next month.
The intensity and focus they had vs UConn, Tennessee, the 2nd halves vs Kentucky and Indiana, etc is what you’re going to see in a big game.

I do worry about fatigue though.

I would expect the same. We know it's in the tank when it really matters, but them playing that many minutes will take its toll eventually during conference season.

Kevin McCullar's current line
20.4 PPG
6.9 RPG
4.8 APG
51% FG
41% 3FG

This team would be lost without him. Thank god he came back.

That 3 point percentage is crazy. Shooting a decently high volume too.

Also makes you think much less of the staff at Tech. Their style of play really limited his development it seems.

Thank God he has improved quite a bit too. I know JWil was kinda the leader people looked to last year, but KM was not this player last.

He has obviously put in a lot of work.

Agreed. I really enjoy watching McCullar. Fucking idiots at Tech were MONUMENTALLY stupid for running his ass off.

his offensive improvement is substantial. While I think Tech doesn't have the coaching staff KU does, but not many programs do.

I'm interested to see how it plays out the rest of the year. McCullar is getting a LOT of minutes. And they're high leverage too. He can't take many minutes off. Last year he got knicked up a bit and seemed to wear down. He's 22 and that doesn't bode well because he probably hasn't added a ton physically, especially as good as the league is looking. But it's possible.

Nonetheless, I'm here for the ride. I'm going to enjoy watching McCullar, Dickinson, and Harris operate at a high level. I'm going to enjoy Adams being a goddamned manimal and watch the young guys grow.

Hopefully we have a good season and wreck pussies in the tournament, but if we don't the ride will be fun.

Looks like he indeed made a great decision to leave TT and also to come back for another year, Going to be able to make a lot of money after this year.

We'd probably lost a couple of games if he didnt come back this year.
