This team literally only has about 7 scholarship rotation players that are even playable. That comes at a significant cost and that cost is the starters being able to go 100% at all times. The alternative (that they just don't give enough of a shit to go all out, which I don't believe) is far worse. [Reply]
walk into the ocean and let it take you away. Never saw so much bitching about a 15 point win and a player of the year type game from McCullar
Yes, I saw this tweet last night too. So they were sick during the Missouri game two weeks ago then too when they played from behind for the first half of it? How about the Eastern Illinois game when they beat the 331st ranked team in the country by 8 points at home two weeks before that? :-)
No, sadly, their propensity to play close games with mediocre to terrible competition has much more to do with their lack of depth than any sort of illness. You'd have to be deluded about their season to this point to think otherwise. [Reply]

Later in the game, we play like champions. Seems like a pattern.
Because we rely extremely heavily on 4 players (and really only two to score, McCullar and Dickinson, who are fortunately two of the top 5-10 players in the country) and have almost no depth around them to take the load off during these games.
Watching 2023-2024 KU has become sort of akin to watching a NBA game right now where the teams just coast for the first 3/4 of it and raise their intensity at the end. They show up when it matters and that's been enough in pretty much every game so far. We'll see if it is against tougher competition next month. [Reply]

no, it isn't. you're just a bad fan. If I never read another thing you write it will be too soon [Reply]
Strong argument. Backed up with evidence and everything.

For commenting about the team’s clear lack of depth this year in a season where they maybe have 6 rotation players they can trust at best. Just unacceptable fandom.

That’s too bad because I can’t wait to get more lessons from you about what it means to be a good fan. [Reply]
When a thread improves significantly with your absence maybe look in the mirror. Hoping you get booted as you just shit up this thread constantly posting nonsense. You're Roo level shitposting [Reply]

So commenting about the team’s season long issue with playing down to competition and attributing it to the clear lack of depth they have now is “Roo-level shitposting.” That’s your lesson about being a good fan?
Please at least try to make sense if you’re gonna post in these threads. [Reply]

It can’t be helped that someone seemingly comes into these threads daily with a bone to pick to personally attack me for what I think is pretty reasonable and innocuous team commentary. I mean I’m always game, but it grows tedious. [Reply]
