If you can find it as it is rare, get Alive Behind the Green Door. It is a live album and I believe their first album. The live versions of songs they little recorded later in studio kill the studio versions. [Reply]
Anyone listened to the Aggrolites? They are a lot of fun live, Id also add to the list if you havent listened
Beans on Toast (british folk) (tons of drugs)
The Legendary ShackShakers (live much better than album)
Id also add in someone many have heard of but maybe not their later stuff
Levon Helm had some incredible late in life music, his life story is interesting especially when you learn of all the crap he went thru in The Band [Reply]

I wondered if that would get a hit. The album is my invention, but it fits right in.
My dad had that record - I used to listen to it when I was a kid. Funny as hell, and as my dad said, they have to be really good to deliberately sound that bad. :-)
