Now that you say that, yes of course. It's obvious that it's cornmeal.
Had a buddy in high school that worked at one and I could have sworn he told me they were made out of something that could basically be bought at a grocery store and fried. But thinking about it, he must have either been full of shit, or my memory is off. [Reply]
This is Claude. Claude is a 15-pound Monster Tasmanian Crab recently caught off the shores of Tasmania that was on his way to an industrial-size steamer before being bought by a British Aquarium for £3,000 (~$4,800). Claude's shell is 15-inches across and it's estimated he's large enough to make 160 crabcakes BUT WILL CONTINUE TO GROW until he's almost 30 pounds and another three inches wide.

No, he's right. Corn meal is going to be in every major grocery store but I prefer hush puppy mix.

She's holding it like that and it's not dead? Fuck that. Claude must be a very mellow crab. [Reply]
I've eaten there maybe once in the past 10 years. I decided to go because i had fond childhood memories of their Hush Puppies. They weren't nearly as good as i remembered them being.
It's interesting to note that most everyone in this thread only eats there once every few years. I'm going to guess the majority of people are like that. [Reply]
