So there's an article on NFL network saying that Orlando Brown is expected to sign for 6 years $145 mil.
That comes to $24.16 mil/yr and makes him the highest paid offensive lineman in football. It also would give him the 19th highest salary per year in the NFL
How would you feel if that is the contract he ended up signing?
I'm fine with it. He is a top 5 LT and he's only 26 next season. A young great LT is a guy you can't let leave. [Reply]
"I don't know that. I don't know whether he's going to be here or not," Reid said. "If he's here, great. And if he's not, we move on. That's how we've done it in the past. This isn't the first time I've been through something like this. My thing is, we just go. Whoever the next guy is that's gonna step in there -- we know Joe Thuney can do it in a heartbeat -- so, if we need to go in that direction, we can go in that direction. We've got some new faces in there that can also do it." [Reply]
Its the supposed second most important position so why not put your best OL in there
Brown wont play week one if he saunters on in after camp
Verch made his point and so will Red [Reply]
From Inside Training Camp Live on @nflnetwork: #Chiefs LT Orlando Brown will not report to training camp tonight. No surprise, as this has been the expectation. So don’t expect Brown anytime soon in St. Joseph, MO, he tweeted without hesitation @AndrewSiciliano@RapSheetpic.twitter.com/TwBWEOB51S
But is he wrong though? This is probably going to be the roughest season Reid and Mahomes will ever have during their Chiefs tenure. Almost complete overhaul of the WR position, instability at both T positions, and what may be one of the toughest schedules on paper, ever. Not saying we're fucked out of the gate but these are some serious fucking challenges our boys are facing. [Reply]
