That said, he's still very clearly often hoping for KU to get upset and that comes through in moments like the end of the game last night when he's focusing on a 7 footer flopping off ball on the final possession of a game (and ignoring Adams just getting destroyed on his dunk). Now that isn't all that different from pretty much any commentator who does our games, but Fran seems less able to hide it at times.
Agreed, largely.
It comes through when he's like excited when a team might pull an upset. When he's calling the game its really good when he's cheerleading an upset it's annoying.
Personally I like Bilas. He's always going to be a Duke ACC homer, and sometimes he barks a little too long on officiating. But I appreciate his knowledge of the game most.
Fran is way WAY better (than anyone, really) at knowing the players, particularly new ones, but I really like Bilas. [Reply]

Jay Bilas, who was mentioned earlier, is actually excellent at this. He will openly admit his "Duke bias", then call the game w/o said bias. He is truly top notch [Reply]
Any “man” that uses his physical size difference over a woman to beat her, kick, scratch, abuse her physically needs to have his ass kicked daily. [Reply]

Shiambi is great. I am getting concerned about him tho... he has gotten really big. Not good for one's health. [Reply]
