Rules:
1. No spoiled picks in this thread, all weekend. This means that as tweets are leaking picks a few minutes before the selection is announced live, you don't post it in this thread (ex: embedded tweets), reference it in this thread (ex: Joe Slapdick says it's McCaffrey to Tampa) or hint at it (ex: "it's a RB!").
Don't be a dick.
Otherwise, have fun, talk shit, freak out and lose your goddamned minds. It's Draft Weekend. The hot takes in these threads are so funny.
I'll also be starting threads for each of our picks as they are made, with videos and notable stats/takes in the OP. Pure knee jerk gold to reference in the future. [Reply]
I don't mind the idea of having a futuristic focus. Does anyone on here really believe we're winning a SB with Smith in 2017? It would be miraculous.
No disrespect to Alex, I'm not calling for his job, but we have zero reason to go 'all in' on 2017. The future is what matters now and it centers around Pat. [Reply]

God damn that dude is an idiot. I heard him saying that stupid shit. [Reply]

At this point I'd lean toward rolling the dice on Caleb Brantley (but they won't take another DL), or taking Chris Wormley (not taking another DL), or Dorian Johnson or D'Onta Foreman or Samaje Perine or Jordan Willis or Carl Lawson. [Reply]

Drafting a player in the 2nd round who might actually have a chance to see the field consistently and have an impact in 2017 isn't exactly mortgaging the future and "going all in".

Don't hate it, lots of upside but needs to be better than hunt.
Would've gone a different direction but this is defensible.
I was a little surprised, but I agree with you. KC needs D-Line since Poe and Howard is now gone, and there's little depth behind, so this move makes sense.
Plus, I trust Dorsey and the coaches and scouts, since they have done a pretty good job on the market on some players who were practice squads on other teams, and they were, to a degree, quality players (Howard is one to name a few). [Reply]

I can't speak for anyone else but my answer is a firm "no".
I expect 12-4, 13-4 and maybe even better but unless Brady completely runs out of gas, the Patriots are the AFC champs. [Reply]

Is that too much to ask?
I get where you are coming from, but I'm mentally of the opinion that our best shot at a SB will be in that 2018-2020 range, assuming Mahomes comes through. So any pick that could be a great player in those years is fine by me. [Reply]
