He used to be a pretty big redass with players in MIL. Changed his whole philosophy when it came to managing players when he came to KC. Didn't fully appreciate that until the team was so unified in our 14-15 runs. [Reply]

Yeah, it is hard to imagine. But when they would lose a few games during the competitive years, some on here insisted that the solution was that Ned just needed to yell at the underperforming players.
I don't think yelling is going to help this team. They had a good month, but there's just not enough there to sustain it for 6 months. [Reply]

Prob not but this is a weak division and the best team lost its two young star OF. Anything can happen. 85 wins might get it done. [Reply]

I don't know about that. This is a very weak division. And over 1/5th of the way into the season we are only one game back.
And that is without our most talented player. Now I know that Adelberto Mondesi is injury prone and streaky. But it is beyond doubt that he is a special talent and the Royals need him in the lineup desperately.
It won't take that many wins to take this division and Mondesi could certainly make the difference for this team. [Reply]

Sorry Prison Bitch. You made your post while I was typing mine. In essence we agree (should that frighten me?) that it is not inconceivable to win this weak division.
Not saying they will. They probably won't. But we just need to get out of this slump and stay close! [Reply]
