Marvel Mystery Oil. So what's the deal with this stuff? My wife's car just hit 100k and my FIL suggested we start adding this stuff. Said he was also putting it in the Mustang when he did oil changes and sometimes when filling up. Does it actually do anything? It's only like $5 a bottle.

Marketing literature makes claims about lubricating qualities, cleaning and friction reduction capabilities. However, little robust evidence exists documenting these purported benefits. The product has previously been marketed for use in all kinds of engines, including aircraft engines. It has also be used in Automatic Transmissions, as a leak stopper and seal re-lubrication tool.

The product is composed of 74 percent mineral oil, 25 percent stoddard solvent, and 1 percent lard.[1]

o-Dichlorobenzene (1,2-Dichlorobenzene (ortho-dichlorobenzene))0 – 5% , Fine White Mineral Oil 70 – 100% , Mineral Spirits 20 – 30%

DAMN what a difference good suspension makes.

Moved the rear end forward 1.25 inches, relocated LCA mounting points and added the tubular LCAs and panhard bar. Car still spins in first but not nearly as bad and REALLY picks up the front end on weight transfer now. No more blowing the tires off in 2nd gear either, now it just grips, shits, and gets.

I am SO ready to run~

Also i posted this in another thread, but i've been in contact with someone that's unloading 12 Classic Mustang bodies on the hella cheap. If anyone is interested, PM me. These are just bodies, no engine/trans etc. Selling them to me for $750-$1K each. Of course if i have to drive up to Central California and do all the leg work for yo' ass there's gonna be a small finders fee....

I use MMO in all my engines that are older. I mix it in the gas for my lawn mower, chainsaw, weedeater, and snowblower. I also mix it in the gas and oil (4oz per 10gal gas, and replace one bottle of motor oil with it when I change the oil). Finally, I use it as a very good solvent to break rusty bolts. Put some on, let is set a couple days, and it usually works.

It's old school stuff for sure, but lots of the old car guys swear by it.

Yep I have seen them before. I looked at a ton of hoods. ws9, all the different VFN hoods, OEM, everything. I scored this one for $275 bucks so I cant complain. Its an AIT Amerihood ws6, which is about 600 shipped normally, and is the best fitting CHEAP hood out there, and OEM hoods are about 1200 bucks in good condition.

I bought it from a guy in Hermann who had purchased it, his car threw a rod before he got it on, and it had just been sitting in a shed. For the money value, im not gonna beat it.

Fitment is pretty decent too, it dives a little on the front corners but after about an hour of tweaking it came out very close to what you should see stock.

Yeah mine was expensive. Back when i bought it it was $1K. They've lowered the price since then. It looks awesome imo and goes well with my rocker extensions and front valance. But yeah, the fitment sucked.

My FIL is the definition of old school car guy. He was a chief engineer for the Washington State ferries so he knows a bit about engines. The wife says I shouldn't question his knowledge but he's also a finicky old man too! LOL

Went to the resort for happy hour. This was parked across the street from us. I waited so that creepy old lady would walk into the picture.

Wife has had a rental car the past few days. They gave us a 2016 Golf GTI. Not bad acceleration when you step on it and corners nicely. I'm mildly impressed.
