McDowell has Travis Releford written all over him, except he’s probably further along as a freshman than Releford was.
Releford struggled to get playing time in 2009 and even had to redshirt in 2010. McDowell is clearly deserving of playing time on a team better than the 2009 team. [Reply]
Even with that shitty start, Dickinson goes for 17 and 14.
If he makes his bunnies in the first half (and that wide open 3), he probably scores 25 and 14. Then we’re talking about a great game for him and probably a comfortable win.

He was absolutely worth giving a shot to because you can’t have too many shooters, but it’s over for him.
I know he hasn't shot it well, but that's really not even the big issue with Timberlake.
His shooting would probably come around with playing time, but he can't get playing time because he can't guard legitimate power 5 players, at fucking all, like not even close, and he can't rebound from the guard position for shit.
He is just not athletic enough for the Big 12, and he absolutely isn't athletic enough for the teams KU usually plays in the non-con.
That's the issue. His shooting will never have a chance to improve because he just can't get on the court.
And the way McDowell is coming along, Timberlake will probably lose more and more minutes.
Yeah, it's always good to have shooters, but I am surprised that Self didn't see that he wouldn't be able to guard at this level. [Reply]
