You're not. You're not realistically considering this reality.
The only way to do this would be to push more Mahomes money forward, thereby extending the time period in which we'll struggle with the cap. I find that unpalatable. I'd rather not spend most of his 30's in cap hell.
It's gonna happen a bunch going forward because all QB contracts are out of hand. Unless you think just a bunch of guys on rookie deals are gonna win SBs. [Reply]
Maybe the Chiefs are in on Hopkins and to w hold up is the reworked contract? His cap hit is $17 million and we only have $16 million currently [Reply]

Totally different situations, teams, positional values, and cap situations.
These are completely different.
Not even remotely the same. The Rams mortgaged their future, are in cap hell, and have to tear it all down and start over. The Cardinals are not, did not, but are stuck with Kyler Murray, who desperately needs a Dhop or they're fucked.
Totally different.
Why are you guys just being willfully ignorant and spouting this bullshit? You know better. You know that's not nearly the same.
It's like you want what you want and refuse to see any realities. [Reply]

Are you against a WR in the 1st?
Absolutely not against a WR in the first. My position has been that we're going to have to grow our own stars for awhile, and fill spots with guys at good value until Mahomes cap number comes down.
I don't know if I like any particular WR that might be there for us, but that's another matter. [Reply]
