This is a Toub issue.
Yep. Hardman verified that after the Chargers game. [Reply]
Andy kinda called it out in his presser. We gotta clean up the deal with fielding inside the five. Like always didn't name names but it seems like a shot over the bow. [Reply]
I’m over the Toub experiment, special teams has been a weakness for years. Other teams don’t seem to have them this problem and we have it every week. Time to make a change. [Reply]

I'm glad Im not the only one concerned he was doing that. Its really dumb to do it. The risk reward just isnt there.
Also I was really disappointed they even put someone back there to field the punt up 21-0 with 16 seconds left in the 1st half. There is absolutely no reason to ever, ever, ever field the punt. Dont even put a guy back there. All you are doing is give the other team a 5% chance at getting the ball back right on the goal line. Pure lunacy that football coaches even put a return guy back there in that situation. [Reply]

I think he's been given more than enough. It might be a little overstated how much he gets "his guys" more than other ST guys, but not much. He undoubtedly gets plenty of specialists and when he doesn't...is there evidence he's putting them in a position to succeed, or training them up. We don't need to be aggressive when we're up. I’d rather see no returns period. Defend the fake, don’t hold and let Mahomes play. Zero reason to bury yourself deep, and I just don’t see the benefit in returning unless they are pinned deep and we’re already going to have good field position [Reply]

With all the problems we've had fielding punts these past couple seasons, the fact Toub is actively coaching these guys to field punts even inside the 5 is just incredible to me. [Reply]

I've said this many times. 30 pct of the time they call holding on the receiving team anyway.
And how the hell can you get a holding call on a fair catch? [Reply]
