Also brings back up the question, would KU have beat Kentucky in 2012 if McLemore didn't have to sit out?
Probably. If he played near his 2013 level, he'd have made a huge impact. [Reply]

Only tourney loss that upset me more was the Morris Twins last game. Even Farouka douche upset me less :-) [Reply]
97 broke me in a way that I never recovered from and I became the type of fan that doesn't get emotional about losses anymore. Basically I matured but that day was unreal [Reply]

Wasn’t just the punch. He got called for a 10 second violation lollygagging the ball up the court, up 8 with two and a half to go. Got trapped later on the baseline, threw it back and into a MI player for a fast break. And the cherry on top was missing the 1-1 with 10 sec left. Allowing Burke to hit a 3 to tie it
It was noted that Self did the Calipari strategy of not fouling up 3 late. Self almost never does it [Reply]

Ya EJ had a tendency to do things like that, if he played like he was capable I bet he would have had a long NBA career after guiding us to the Nati. [Reply]

I had to work that day and had the game ready to go after work, saved me a lifetime of heart ache not watching that live. [Reply]

Sadly I just don't think he quite had the intellect to match his physical ability. Much, much better than say Vick's brain power though. [Reply]

I have been telling people that when it's all said and done, Zuby may be the best player in this recruiting class. He is kind of an afterthought right now because people are focusing on Dick and Rice, and rightfully so, but we have seen what Self and this staff has done with undervalued recruits in the past.
