Well, Stidham is just a spare. So, if Denver does indeed draft a QB, which they will at some point, they’ll need a veteran body there. [Reply]

1 year and $10M… and Jefferson. Probably a good situation for him if he can play. Denver needs to avoid Zack. [Reply]
So, although we won the Super Bowl, we clearly need to upgrade the wide receiver room. But we shouldn’t spend too much money. Also, we shouldn’t rely on just who we can draft, so we need to get somebody in free agency. We should basically get whoever is cheapest. Candidates mentioned that I like include Brown, Samuels, and Ridley. If they’re too expensive, the next tier should include Money, Osburn and Boyd. If everyone’s too expensive, I guess we stick with Hardman, but the point that several of you made is right on: he might be enough for what we need for a number 3 receiver, but if one of the top receivers gets injured, he doesn’t have the upside to replace them. My preference is we get Samuels and then a burner in the draft.
If we can’t get a number 1 pick for Sneed I wonder if we can afford to keep him. If we can we should. If we can get a number one, then we can get both a tackle and a good receiver in the draft using two number one picks. [Reply]
But we shouldn’t just rely on the draft to upgrade our receiver room. It’s a crapshoot. Sometimes you win like with race. Other times you lose like with Moore.
And for those indulging in wishful thinking that we could get Jefferson, that is just too unrealistic, both in terms of Minnesota letting him go, and in terms of us being able to afford him. But it is nice to dream. [Reply]
Aiyuk is staying in San Fran. We aren't spending near that much on the position. Not Ridley level either. You'll get Samuel or Mooney and be happy to [Reply]

Or it could be a Josh Reynolds or KJ Osbourne. [Reply]
Much respect for Nick. Always enjoyed that dude even if he isn’t the best guy out there.
Lots of good discussion here.
I do think the Reid can back channel some information on the WR FAs. Him and Harbitch are close so I bet he knows what Brown is and Bienemy can tell him what Samuel has left.
I forgot Boyd was a FA. Man that Bengals room was stacked. I don’t think he’s that guy for us because he won’t be facing the teams worst CB but he can play.
Whatever we do I hope it’s cheap. Some of these prices are insane. I’m fine with letting things cool. [Reply]
