Because they look it wow nice, but you're a heretic for denying the greatness of corn torts... every single great street taco starts with a corn shell
Homemade, but not by me, I get them from a lady in the neighborhood
And eh on the tortillas. Mexico is a big country so their food is regional, similar to BBQ. Northern Mexico is carne asada and flour tortillas. Go further south and its other proteins and corn tortillas
Corn tortillas done right are good but can turn gummy and tear. Flour is literally flour and lard, a combo thats undefeated throughout time. A good flour tortilla can be eaten plain. Can't say that about corn
Its just a personal preference, but I'm 100% right [Reply]

Rompees take note:
When referencing the "other half", he's specifically talking about baboons who have been subjected to all sorts of scientific experiments including inbreeding and lobotomisation. [Reply]

Mostly eat out maybe?
How do you get by?
I tried Hello Fresh once at some starter price and my main takeaways were that it's normally too damn expensive (that was pretty obvious from the start, of course), and holy shit there was a ton of prep.... the food was pretty good, but that might just be pride from spending 3 hours preparing it. :-)
Don't eat out much these days, especially working from home... no one big reason, but add up health, cost, the ease at which you can make most stuff just as well or better at home for less $, how easy it is to overeat, etc; it's just less and less of a go-to, whether it's just finding something to eat or social time or whatever.
Get by on large bags of meat from Costco, whether it's chicken, salmon, ahi tuna... easy to marinate or just throw on the grill.
If I had one picture for this thread, it would have been pizza last night (health and overeating be damned :-))... Trader Joe's pizza dough with some olive oil and garlic powder, lots of pepperoni, Sprouts' hot italian chicken sausage (love it), jalapenos, pickled onions. Looked amazing out of the oven and it was fucking delicious. [Reply]

Yeah, you just inherently know subscription meals are going to be wildly overpriced going in... cooking at home with fresh ingredients is almost always gonna be cheaper and better for you
That pizza sounds awesome, minus the toilet trip the next morning lol [Reply]
