The Warriors have been remarkably lucky with injuries for five straight seasons. They won the 2015 title in part because most teams in their path had serious injury issues. This balanced the equation the other way.
Regardless of injury, Curry has played now in five NBA Finals and has never once been the best player in the series, and perhaps only once on his own team in the Finals.
My hat is off to Klay for his play during this series, fighting through injury to put up damned good numbers. I even feel for Durant, who just suffered an awful injury at the absolute worst time.
Ironically, these injuries might end up being the best thing that could happen for GS, because now they have an unfinished business/injury excuse that could lead to Durant resigning there with the full max slot and the team competing again in '20-21. [Reply]

Yeah it is not looking good right now. GS may end up paying $200 million in luxury tax by keeping KD and Klay but they won't play next season. This is going to be very interesting to watch what happens.
Just read that the tax will be $344mil if they keep both. [Reply]
I don’t wanna hear ANYTHING about injuries.
Warriors beat Spurs with no Kawhi
Warriors beat Cavs with no Kyrie and no Love
Warriors beat Houston with no Chris Paul
Warriors beat Cavs with JR Smith.

When a shitty narrative about "asterisks" completely undermines the achievement, I totally get why anyone would go on the defensive. [Reply]
Watching all the bodies break down on this Warriors team, it gives me a new appreciation for what LeBron did with all those playoff runs. Year after year, man. Now he's coming into the season fresh and ready for another title run. GOAT. [Reply]

Lol that’s what you think KCC is doing?
This is what he always does. It only would’ve been worse without the injuries. [Reply]

Oh yeah, we've had plenty of arguments over Lebron. But in this case, I totally get being defensive and it just so happens that Lebron is a good reason to make that case. He's a legit Raptors fan, legit GSW hater, legit Lebron fan, so it's kind of a perfect storm... I get it. [Reply]

If anything it should give you appreciation for what the real GOAT did. This just proves how hard it is to 3 peat and he did it twice without ever going to a game 7.
But let’s suck Lebron’s dick for having a cake walk in an abysmal conference for 8 years. [Reply]

The hypocrisy of the Warriors/Curry supporters is an amazing thing right now. [Reply]
