Haven't finished the season yet, was reading cautiously trying to make sure I didn't get spoiled on anything.
The parts I found humorous about the portrayal of the Ozarks is the geographics of it all. Acting like driving to St. Joe from there is like a quick drive, and even more laughable was the afternoon drive to Kentucky. [Reply]

They fucked up with Kansas City Kansas too when referring to the KC Mob [Reply]
I finished this last week and forgot to post my thoughts on it.
Definitely one of Netflix's best original shows. I had some issues with Marty's brother in law taking up so much screen time (and some stupid choices he made thru out ) but no biggie, he gave a good performance imo. Laura Linney should win a shit ton of awards for her performance. She was superb in Season 3. Really no major complaints for me. Bring on season 4! [Reply]

I thought the brother-in-law storyline was fantastic. Heartwrenching stuff IMO. [Reply]
Yeah. Like all the rest of the seasons it was really well done. The writers deserve a ton of credit for weaving in all the innocuous stuff that ends up being pivotal. Like the drone.
I’ll spoiler the rest just in case.
Spoiler!
The stuff with Ben hit. Man that part was well done. When he was in the jail cell and got told he was being committed it was fucking rough. Then the subsequent stuff all worked too. Goddamn. Just goddamn.
The other thing that really affected me to the point I couldn’t even watch was Ruth taking that beating. Up to this point, she’s been comic relief mostly. I mean she’s an important character and it is really well played, but the hard shell she puts on makes it hard to feel what she’s feeling. But this season I did. Both with Wyatt and taking the beating. Damn.
The Helen thing was pretty serious. Not sure I saw that.
LOL @ Darlene blowing thy dudes cock off. She’s fucking batty. And how many shotguns does she have? I don’t think that’s the same one she used to blow away that cartel dude.
Jonah is going to lose his shit. Nobody is that close to the edge and doesn’t go over without exiting the stressful environment.

Darlene and Wyatt. Blarg.
Spoiler!
Thing with Helen; she wasn't as forthcoming with the boss.
Not really a spoiler, just thoughts on Ben's storyline.
Spoiler!
I was secretly hoping Ben would become some psycho killer unleashed on the Mob/Carel/Darlene after he stopped taking his meds, but props to the show for portraying the more realistic chaos of mental illness. Some of that was brutal to watch.
Still pulling for my guy Johan to notch that cherry.

LOL yeah you have hope for Jonah. Bens treatment was impassioned and compelling. [Reply]
