Was that the same one we made a huge comeback and ESPN showed the Mayor's (bleach blonde) kids crying in the stands?
That was a helluva game and might have broken Iowa State's hoops program. [Reply]
I just watched this whole game on Youtube last night.
Pivotal play came at the end of regulation, KU down 2 with 11 seconds left, EJ drove and Niang took what could have been called a charge. EJ landed on top of Niang, the ball fell right to EJ, he passed it out, but Niang was called for a foul. That sent EJ to the line for 2 free throws that tied the game. Really weird sequence.
I was also reminded of what an absolute stiff Withey was anytime he got the ball in the post. We complained about McCormack a lot this year, Withey was just as bad. [Reply]

Really was a shame that we had to blow that gigantic lead against Michigan in the S16. McLemore (and the leftovers of 2012) seemed too good to end that way.
Also brings back up the question, would KU have beat Kentucky in 2012 if McLemore didn't have to sit out? [Reply]
