2023 – A new beginning for the Royals. Matt Quatraro era begins. A year to see which of our young players will make up the core going forward. Can Bobby Witt Jr become a superstar SS or will go to the hot corner? Will Brady Singer take the next step forward? Will Salvy be Salvy? Will Big Vin or Pratto take first base? Will they find a position for MJ? Who else emerges from the youth movement? Not to mention the development of the new downtown stadium.

Are all these guys coming up pushing Isbel out? Or do you prognosticators envision a role for him in a year or two? I remember visiting the Louisville slugger museum two years ago and their tour guide mentioned him as I had a kc hat on. [Reply]

Isbel is just going to be a depth outfielder at best. Good glove, bat isn't good enough to be a regular. [Reply]
Hud said the coach sending Pratto home on the double was a good call.....I never saw Pratto let up rounding 2nd he knew he was going to score before seeing the 3rd base coach!!!!
That's what "ballplayers" get you......hustle and wins! [Reply]

The entire division is not good. We only have 5 less wins than the Tigers who are in 2nd place. Any team in this division that has an even half decent 2nd half of the season probably ends up in 2nd place. [Reply]

I honestly hadn't even looked at the standings until today. I figured we'd be 15 games out of first and sunk way below everyone.

That would require him playing for a contender.
He appears to have the goods to be a .300/.400/.550 hitter. Would probably need a season where good FB/HR luck pushes that SLG to .600+ and also play for a contender.
But he’s got some real Joey Votto-like vibes. [Reply]

OF have 2x the mvp (74-37). Obv there are 3 of them but the point remains, an OF is much more likely to beat out Vinnie and they should, they’re more valuable [Reply]
