IT ****ING HAPPENED

OP UPDATE:

Because of all the interest in this thread, I've place all of the video content of Patrick Mahomes II's college career, and draft day goodness into a single post that can be found here. Enjoy!

I'm convinced people keep saying this because they remember Elway from their childhood.

Yep

Elway was good but **** him

There's only a handful of starters bigger than PM, and few are physically stronger

Elway grows 2" when he smiles, so that's probably it.

You can't see where it landed in the video. It's probably anywhere between 70-90. In either case....

His comment about where he needed to be to throw hail mary wasn't a lie.

He literally just needs a touch back.......

With ease too. So he could maybe go 100+ at altitude if he really put all of his strength into it. I wanna see it one of these days. 100 yard bomb to Tyreek in Denver. Call it Andy!

I saw that throw during pregame show Monday and was trying to figure out how far it went.

I have no idea the actual distance, it doesn't matter.

It's a little far fetched, but if it were true... dude is on another level, most QB's just take the sack.

I'd have to go back and study what's going on during the in-completions that were "off", but I'm too lazy.
I think he did that at least once.

The first time I ever cried at a sports game was 1998.

Rich Gannon led the Chiefs to a major lead at Mile High during Denver's undefeated run. The Chiefs still had a glimmer of hope for the playoffs - THIS was what they were supposed to do in the Monday Night meltdown.

And then John Elway came from behind and ripped out my five year old heart before spiking it inside of a used car. He may as well have been 7'0 tall, with 4.4 speed and an 8 pack - I would have bought it.

He haunted my fandom for eternity - forever representing what the Chiefs didn't have and why a ship was not possible.

...Until now.
