The only issue with declaring is that the deadline is in June/July. That's a long time for the team to wait around and see who they will have back. Can't really recruit top level guys at that point. [Reply]

Wilson is pretty good, Ochai is competent most of the time.
Self should not be waiting on them to make a decision if a top prospect is interested. I imagine he’d recruit over both in a heartbeat. [Reply]

Braun is just ATROCIOUS on 2 pointers and has no idea how to use his body & take contact when scoring. Ochai isn't good at it either. Really very similar players, with Ochai having better defense is the main thing.
Agreed. They have similar skillsets with Ochai having more potential simply because of his size and athleticism. Time is running out on that, though. [Reply]

Hope he comes back.
I could see a team actually drafting him in the 1st on potential alone. He completely fell off the map around January, but I think it's definitely worth it from him to see. If he never develops any further, his stock may never be higher than right now. [Reply]

I agree with this. Having unknowns going into the NBA Draft seems to be better than teams knowing exactly what you are (if you aren’t an obvious superstar). They’ll gamble on the potential, because so few players actually stick in the league. [Reply]
Wilson has already said he'd be returning. He just wants to know what he needs to improve. He'll probably bail after next year, but he's not going anywhere yet. [Reply]

With Bryce Thompson in the portal and #kubball now with two available scholarships, one would think that the staff really puts the pressure on Tyty Washington and Christian Bishop. With two open spots, it would be the perfect way for Self and his staff to round out this class.
