2023 – A new beginning for the Royals. Matt Quatraro era begins. A year to see which of our young players will make up the core going forward. Can Bobby Witt Jr become a superstar SS or will go to the hot corner? Will Brady Singer take the next step forward? Will Salvy be Salvy? Will Big Vin or Pratto take first base? Will they find a position for MJ? Who else emerges from the youth movement? Not to mention the development of the new downtown stadium.

It does seem that many of the can't miss prospects don't quite pan out.
So... I'm wrong again... What IS the problem? I was a fan of keeping Perez and not Gordon, who was a disappointment (based on the hype that he was the next Brett).
There's a lot of teams that aren't good; maybe a big part of it is the structure of the salaries, lack of revenue sharing and salary cap. Very hard for small market teams to compete year in and year out.
You seem to be more tarded, than crazy. None of those 5 players you mentioned were even close to good when they left. Gordon wasn't even remotely close to a disappointment and was a huge reason we won a WS, KirkTard. [Reply]

Bubba Starling is 30 years old. Should be in his prime right now. That's 2011 draft. 2015 draft guys are 28/29 for the college players; 25 for the high school guys.

Maybe the Royals can fix McArthur; maybe Junior Marin isn't a prospect. I can't see the future.
But the Royals just traded a 19-year-old OF with a career pro line of .348/.425/.554 for a 26-year-old minor leaguer *who was already designated for assignment*. Seems unnecessary. https://t.co/LhcHIzSNE5
