2023 – A new beginning for the Royals. Matt Quatraro era begins. A year to see which of our young players will make up the core going forward. Can Bobby Witt Jr become a superstar SS or will go to the hot corner? Will Brady Singer take the next step forward? Will Salvy be Salvy? Will Big Vin or Pratto take first base? Will they find a position for MJ? Who else emerges from the youth movement? Not to mention the development of the new downtown stadium.

God damn, this pitching is just such garbage. Dayton Moore was here from 2006-2022, thru 16 years of drafts and international signings. Multiple top 10 picks and not one time was he able to draft or develop a true ace. At his best Duffy was a #2 and that was a brief stint. Ventura was a high #2, but that's it for his draft and development success. So many guys that never amounted to shit. Multiple 1st round guys that never touched or only touched the ML because everyone else sucked as well. The guy was an absolute clown and thank God he's gone. It'd be unbearable with him running this team.
Daytons absolute incompetence should have lucked into a couple of stud pitchers.
I'm not sure what to think of Piccolo, but at least he's embraced an analytical approach, so maybe they can churn out something other than complete dog shit. [Reply]
It's time to just admit it, the Royals haven't drafted for shit in long time.. especially pitching. They took all these guys and also stuck them in a system that isn't great at developing players.
They thej promote Moore's right hand man to GM..the vast majority of the organization stays the same..where are the outside voices in the front office?
I'm sorry this is more of the same and if this was a complete tank job rebuild from ground zero, hope there's a handful of major leaguers in the system this.f...then you completely start over.
The Royals are trying to do a halfass change move and it's blowing up in their faces. [Reply]
Bart was Dorsey's right hand man and that turned out okay. Low level pitchers in the minors seem to be doing okay to start the season. I think let's wait until after the draft to see what they have in mind. Going to need some top 3 draft picks to rebuild this right. Seems nobody has the patience fo that [Reply]

Nobody does when they're asking for a stadium.
And Dorsey was never the pure liquid shit Moore was for most of his run. [Reply]

Best course would be to start over with the guys currently in Columbia and Quad Cities and build from there. The 2018 pitchers busted and the rest of the 24-26 year olds in the current wave aren't getting them there. [Reply]
