Would movies about returning war vets qualify? You ever see Rolling Thunder starring William Devane and Tommy Lee Jones?
They're all serious to me
j/k, good question. I lean cheesy with an emphasis on action. I know they all have some serious baseline but I'm not into night ruiners like a Schindler's List.
I've seen Hamburger Hill, Platoon, etc. All awesome. Would love some more B-sides from the 80s in that style.
Not to sidetrack your thread though. All action recs are appreciated. [Reply]
Indiana Jones, Star Trek and Star Wars are great action movies for me as well.
And Face Off. It's so bad but I love it. I've just recently been able to flip past Road House without watching. Point Break needs another run on cable (and not the new one).
Other mentions: Die Hards, Terminators, Wicks, Matrices, Mad Maxs, The Wild Bunch. [Reply]

F&F is ok, but uses waay to much sped up camera trickery and fake CGI for my taste.

All the others you mentioned are great.
Physics man. It’s blatant disregard for physics. First one worked back in the day.
Didn’t see anymore for awhile until I was flipping through and there were two mustangs pulling a safe. It was the dumbest shit I’ve ever seen ever. That was written produced filmed and edited by guys that have never pulled a load ever.
Physics. I can only suspend disbelief so far. [Reply]
