Serious question, not even being aggressive in any way. What would cause you to slap that thread in the tv/movie spot? What could possibly urge you to thumbs down the post of a thread you've regularly read throughout the years? Are you that much of a loser that you're still tight about arguments we had half a decade ago on an internet fourm?

Wish you the best, my man. Hope you're not that miserable in your day to day.

There's been a lot of hype around AI and a lot of companies have wasted money trying to implement it without a proper strategy of practical use for business outcomes. They jump in the water thinking Generative AI is what they need when another form of AI may be more suitable. Lack of understanding the distinction between AI and Machine Learning or other areas specifically, for example.

AI is definitely here and making an impact, but best believe the hype cycle is real. A lot of money has been wasted on failed projects because people are chasing a daydream and don't understand their true business needs and aren't properly aligned with IT.

And as far as the general public, most people don't even know how to prompt ChatGPT or really use these tools for their own benefit. Just like every other technology, a select few will master it and reap the rewards.
