He doesn't gear down well. When he tries to change direction, it takes him an extra step to get his momentum shifted. Or he loses his footing.
He's going to really struggle with quick outs and comebacks, IMO. And if he starts to cheat on those, he'll get smoked by double moves.
It's going to be an interesting thing to monitor going forward. At least I'll try to keep an eye on it. But from the stands whenever I watched him (which was pretty common as Uche was the guy I wanted to see and mostly he was either on the sideline or just running into the LT), he was really struggling with the shorter, quicker movements.
He was okay yesterday, but from what I saw he's going to end up a mark on 3rd and short and/or goalline situations where you're looking for quick, easy money. And I think he'll eventually start selling out a little bit on those routes so we'll need the safeties to be aware of that behind him.

Because he's coming downhill.
He often looked like a safety playing CB, IMO. He just didn't seem comfortable making sharp cuts and exploding out of them. Which is a pretty common thing for safeties and usually WHY they end up playing safety.
I don't recall - was he playing safety coming into the draft?
