I think that I go with incomplete. First preseason game just didn't give enough data. Playing behind a scrub line that couldn't protect him and took away his deep throw left me dissatisfied. I hope to have a better opportunity to give a grade after Saturday night. [Reply]

Well, the only thing this is based on is his performance in the 1st preseason game. He did perform...he played. I think the only way he could be marked as incomplete in this particular poll would be if he did not come in to play.
I don't want to come off as a "whine about the poll" dork, but honestly...I don't think "incomplete" should be an option. He showed up...and he did play...regardless of what the circumstances were. [Reply]
He came in, got the plays in his helmet and communicated the plays quickly. no delays of game, no ill-advised timeouts. No misalignments (that we know of). Had a good first throw, yeah, under-thrown a bit but he stood in the pocket and didn't bail and start running with the pocket collapsing / RT getting pushed into his face on his first NFL pass.
Had good subsequent drives; threw a nice dart between defenders; scrambled a bit, improvised with a scramble while keeping his eyes downfield and tossing a TD; almost had a TD to the TE but was a little high and off the mark.
Didn't seem overwhelmed by the moment.
Honestly couldn't ask for much more right out of the gate IMO.
We have good reason to be excited it appears. [Reply]
