Welp, I finished the season. I don't know. I personally really liked it as a whole.
Some spoilers for those who have completely finished it:
Spoiler!
Love what happened with Piper and where she's gone. That's some cold shit what she did to the hot lesbian tattoo chick, but it was necessary if she's really going to stay on her game. There were quite a few different character arcs this season that left me a little misty eyed, including Mickey Mouse Ears jewish convert black chick.
I really, really HATE where they left the Voss storyline. I know you can't end it on a dark note, but some finality to that would have been nice. Makes me think maybe she isn't going to be dead.
Overall, I thought the flashbacks this season were the best they've had, as we got a lot of insight on some characters. Wondering how long it's going to be until Boo turns out Doggett? It's coming surely. Doggett or Piper were my favorite characters this season.

Yeah, prompted the post. And it absolutely fits. I couldn't figure out if she was hot or not. Something about her just seemed odd. Then that joke landed it clicked. Definitely a slow start, but not bad. Piper replaces Bigg's as the most annoying character on the show though. [Reply]

Yes. That's how they've traditionally done all their shows, though they're currently experimenting with a serial release for one show (I can't remember which one, though). [Reply]

Between, but that's not Netflix experimenting with staggered releases. It's a collaboration between Netflix and a Canadian TV station. It's broadcast in Canada, and made available on Netflix US/International a few hours later. That's part of the Netflix/CityTV deal. It's not available on Netflix Canada until a year after, much like Netflix normal TV content licensing.
Would love to see this turn into Netflix experimenting with streaming shows shortly after original broadcast (fuck Hulu). [Reply]
I am not reading any posts in this thread at all until I finish season 4. I have my screen scrolled up and all I can see in this reply box. With that being said; a friend of mine recommended the show to me a long time ago. I watched the first 15 minutes or so of the first episode and I hated it. I hated all of the characters. I hated the story. I hated the dialogue. So the friend told me later (after I told her and her wife what happened) that those characters (the main girl and the people on the outside at first) are the shittiest characters in the whole show. She said I should give it another try. I did, and I really enjoyed the show. It's not super great wonderful TV but it's worth watching. A lot of actresses/actors give some truly great performances in this thing. A lot of the characters are very well rounded, believable, and memorable. A lot of the plot moments are incredibly compelling. There are times where I actually get a good laugh (rare for TV) and there are times that will just punch you right in the gut and give you a lingering case of the feels. There have actually been episodes that were emotionally impactful enough that I had to step away from watching it and give it break. And of course there are hot naked women sprinkled all over the place and the music they use is great. I recommend watching it and sticking with it. [Reply]

Still sucks about Lolly. She was one of my favorite characters.
Yeah, it really did suck. Her level of crazy was awesome.
I've seen every episode of Oz like, 3 times. Haven't watched it in forever, though.
This show is really getting more and more like it now. They're divided into cliques, there's a riot, an inmate with a gun and someone getting a swastika burned into their skin.
It's really starting to be a clone now but at least the characters are more relatable on this show. [Reply]
