Nzoner's Game Room>Let's say Jacksonville calls.
Direckshun 10:07 AM 08-18-2017
This is a pointless hypothetical but it's August so who cares. Just have fun with this, folks.

Keep in mind that Alex Smith probably takes us to the playoffs this year.

Pat Mahomes has a learning year that very likely doesn't take us to the playoffs. Though he does have a very bright future.

I know many of you disagree with one or both of those sentences but I think that's a reasonable assessment of the two.

Jacksonville comes calling for Smith, and wants to trade us a draft pick.

What do you say?

Poll forthcoming.

Sell him at end of season.

Glad Reid does not read CP.
This and I don't even like Alex Smith, didn't want him to land in Kansas City but he did and I didn't like it. He is serving his purpose here and all we need him for is to buy time for Patrick to get ready to take over. The better Alex plays the more time it will give Patrick to learn what he needs to learn so he can be more effective on the field when his opportunity arrives. We get to watch this kid blossom into a dream quarterback right in front of our eyes.

The best part is I think Patrick can handle any situation and have success even if he gets thrust early and struggles he will come out on top for it. No reason to push things so he can grasp each week watching. His first game he should pay close attention to Tom Brady and he can learn a lot.

It would take highway robbery for Belichick to part with Garoppolo.

And Coughlin is way too conservative to make that kind of trade.

Direckshun thread.

With that said, fuck draft picks.

Allen Robinson, please.

I mean, this is a fantasy thread, right?

Oh I don't disagree......I was imparting what I was hearing here in town on the local sports shows.

In reality I think they are know that they are stuck with Chad Henne for now and having some hope that Bortles gets his act together at some point.

Some believe that Brandon Allen might be the way to go.

I read a Pete Prisco tweet earlier today that said that Bortles is just plain done.

I'd bet money that Coughlin will start Henne or Allen or anyone else other than Bortles, then draft "his kind of guy" next year.

They're not winning anything this year, anyway.
